“Breaker of the Round Table” — Mordred is a Arthurian Solo / Jungle in Smite 2.
“Mordred, the shadow of Camelot, whose hatred for King Arthur, his uncle and king, kindles a flame of vengeance that will not be snuffed. Cursed from birth, Mordred grew in the shadow of a prophecy foretelling Arthur’s demise by his hand, a destiny that fueled his wrath and desire for retribution. His followers are those wronged by family or bound to dark fates, those who seek justice by any means necessary. In him, they find the strength to defy legacy and rewrite destiny. As he takes the field, the end of Camelot echoes within him—a necessary betrayal that could yet reshape the world.” Mordred, the shadow of Camelot, whose hatred for King Arthur, his uncle and king, kindles a flame of vengeance that will not be snuffed. Throughout many legends and tales of King Arthur, details around the man that leads to his demise can differ dramatically. One thing is constant, however: his Wrath. Mordred, Breaker of the Round Table, seeks nothing more than to destroy the man who led his family to ruin long ago.His father King Lot, brother of Arthur, ruled prior to the young king - first as an adversary and then as allies. Prophecy foretells that Arthur will fall to a child born on the first of May, and in a desperate move Arthur has all children of that year rounded up and shipped away. This ship would find itself to sink, and while many are presumed dead, Mordred survives and grows up with an unbridled hatred of his uncle.Lot would take up arms against Arthur once more, fighting alongside foes seeking to depose him. One such battle would lead to Lot’s death at the hands of King Pellinore, spurred on by Merlin. This act would cause a schism that never would heal, pushing Mordred to seek revenge at every turn.Over decades, he plotted and fought in many battles that saw him rise to a position of influence and fear. He took on his foes with a ferocity that spread to those he led in battle, causing a group of Knights to dedicate themselves to his cause. As his forces grew and his own legend spread, he finally found himself in position to launch his betrayal against the Crown. The two sides would struggle for control of the Kingdom many times, leaving Mordred more and more corrupted by magical afflictions he sustained each mutinous rule. Every time, his Wrath only grows and his thirst for revenge pushes him to reclaim it forever.
